It is the month of generosity. Ibn `Abbas said, "The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to be at his most generous in Ramadan."

It is the month of standing (in voluntary night prayer). On the authority of Abu Hurayrah: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, "Whoever stands (in voluntary night prayer) during Ramadan, with faith and in expectancy of reward, his previous sins are forgiven him."

Allahuma Solli Ala Saydina Muhammad wa Ala Alli Muhammad

It is the month of the compulsory fast, because of Allah's saying, "So, whoever among you witnesses the month should fast." [Qur'an, 2:185] A terrible error prevalent among people is to talk about Ramadan just as they talk about the obligation of fasting, as if Ramadan and fasting are synonymous, each carrying the meaning of the other and not anything more nor less. Yet, fasting is one of many acts of worship in Ramadan.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "A servant of God will remain standing on the Day of Judgment until he is questioned about his (time on earth) and how he used it; about his knowledge and how he utilized it; about his wealth and from where he acquired it and in what (activities) he spent it; and about his body and how he used it." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 148

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “Indeed, the leader is only a shield behind whom they fight and he protects them. If he fears Allah the Exalted and enjoins justice, then he will have a reward; but if he enjoins other than that, then it will return upon him.”

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Every good deed is charity. Indeed, it is good to meet your brother with a smiling face, and to pour what is left from your bucket into the vessel of your brother.”

Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri reported: Indeed, some people from the Ansar asked the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and he gave them. Then they asked (for charity) again and he gave them. Then they asked again and he gave them until all he had was gone. He said, “If I had anything, I would not withhold it. Whoever refrains from asking others, then Allah will make him content; and whoever would be self-sufficient, then Allah will make him self-sufficient; and whoever would be patient, then Allah will make him patient. There is no gift that is better and more comprehensive than patience.”

coral reefs are found in warm seas, where the water is shallow & there's plenty of light

coral will grow only in clean water (free from pollution)

most coral reefs are found in the indian & pacific oceans, the caribbean & the red sea. they aint found where there're cold ocean currents or where large rivers flow into the sea

sunlight is a must for corals... simply they have tiny algae called zooxanthellae in their cells. these algae use the sunlight to make their own food

the algae will furnish the corals with food. in return, they get shelter & protection

some coral reefs are close to the shore are exposed when the tide goes out

the exposed coral is then damaged by the sun & the wind

the great barrier reef is the world's larger coral reef. it runs along the northeast coast of australia & is 2,500 km long

almost 6,000 different species species of animal live on this reef
